- GLHS #037 - 86 omni GLHS was sitting in a Dodge dealer back lot in 92 with the engine in the back seat and a wasp nest baking in the summer sun. To make a long story short I got in touch with the owner who was a drug addict or dealer and gave him basicly his next few fixes I guess and towed the goddamn thing home. I was in rough shape BUT RUST FREE!!!
It is now a super 60 car and has a best time of 13.2@110+mph on street radials.

- GLHS #065 - I bought the car this on April 6th, 2004. It had a '90 2.2 motor with a ported head, S70 turbo, 2 piece intake and other itmes but was unfinished.
The car no longer has the original motor or transmission with it so I will be installing a TIII and 568 into the car.
UPDATE: 7/23/04
The motor and transmission have been removed along with the rod shifter. A mint GLH carb car has been picked up to donate it's perfect interior for the car and the TIII motor has been fitted to the car.
To use the stock TIII serp belt setup and A/C the frame rail needs to be clearnaced but everything should be ready this fall before the snow flies to receive the motor and transmission in the spring that I will build for the car as the cold and snow set in up here.

- GLHS #084 - I purchased the car about 4 years ago. It had been neglected and needed a home. After some restoration and some care Christine is now content. I have at this point only bolted on accessories. Larger injectors, under drive pulley system, exhaust work, computer change, performance fan, S and B air filter, and some minor work to the head. I live in southern Il and it is the classic definition of Redneck.......there is always an excuse as to why there 4700 lb car got smoked by a four door Omni. I have recently began taking her to the local 1\8th mile track. Im using Nitto Extream 205\50\15 at about 20 lbs. I am gettting very poor traction at the line. But still mid 9 territory. Faster than many Mustangs!!!!!!!

- GLHS #088 - I am the second owner of the car. I was with the original owner when he picked it up. It sat in his warehouse for 6 years before I got it from him in Oct of 99. Since then I have had it painted, wheels polished, and the interior replaced, new timing belt, brakes and tires. The car has 47,000 miles.

- GLHS #096 - Where do you guys find those low mileage stompers? Original owner, all stock, w/220,000 miles. Has cost over $30,000 in maintenance/repairs to keep this sucker on the road, not counting tires and lube/oil changes, but consumes only 1 quart (Mobil 1) between changes. Dealer gave up on it, due to frequency of wiring problems caused by fan seizing up 2 years ago, but electrical wizard recommended by Mercedes shop has just breathed new life into her. I'm retiring soon, thus eliminating 300 miles per week. Wish I could find a parts car, driveable or not, preferably within a hundred miles of Atlanta.

- GLHS #103 - My buddy has 40,000 miles on the clock. Had almost 30,000 when I bought it from a 65 year old guy in 94. Now, that's my age. I put it away every October and bring it out around the end of April, driving it a little here and there. Like in the Grassroots Auto Magazine, (87 issues) I modified it much like the car in the story. I used to auto cross it in C/SP.It has a few other modifications. There has been some fun times with it. No one has ever been in the back seat. Never dinged or hit, but there is a bip in the rear right door from a shopping basket. All it needs is a good paint job, as it has some sun fade now, on the top and on the hood. It still makes my nose bleed when I get into it on the road. The most unforgetable car I've ever owned!

- GLHS #121 - Orginal owner purchased July 1986, from Fitzgerald Dodge in Laconia NH. Installed boost gauge, rear window louvers, and turbo II module, everything else is stock. Did a complete repaint in 1994, with all new decals, the interior is still like new. Went to MOPAR NATS with it in 86, only one there!, ran 14.9s with less than a 1000 miles on the clock, it now has 75k, and everything in the motor is still orginal, I have used Mobil 1 since new. I have several brochures, Shelby poster and complete Dealer Press Kit with black & white photos at Willow Springs California running a GLHS against a 65 Shelby Mustang. I haven't driven the car for 2 summers and have been thinking of selling it, but hate to part with it.

- GLHS #192 - I am the second owner. The car is in outstanding condition and came absolutely stock except for MOMO 5 spoke wheels which the original owner added in the late '80's. (The original Centurions came with the car also.) I have added the easy bolt on stuff: K&N filter; BOV; turbo gauge; A/F gauge; and ND computer. I only drive it occasionally and it's still a thrill everytime I take it out .... one of the ultimate sleepers!!

- GLHS #222 - Turbo: t3/t4(46 trim(stock comp housing), .63 exhaust housing with stock wheel)
Block: Still turbo 1...looking into getting strong rods.
exhaust: 3 inch no cat(LOUD!) Ported exhaust manifold
intake: Homemade cold air intake, portmatched intake manifold, isuzu NPR intercooler.
Tranny: 555 trans with daytona cables
Head: Stock except for self porting and backcut valves.
Times...hopefully will be trapping atleast 110+. All i can say about it so far is that ive only got it to 14-15 psi(for the sake of the stock rods) and it breaks the tires loose in the middle of 3rd just nailing it(no shifting).

- GLHS #230 - As of today, 01/03/04, my GLHS has 113k miles and in need of a transmission rebuild or replacement or something. Anyway, I am the original owner and I purchased the car from a Dodge dealer down in Huntsville, Al in August of '86. Even with second gear gone, it is still a daily driver here in Knoxville, Tn. After I graduate in the spring of '04, the little rocket is scheduled for some restoration, mostly cosmetic. I don't plan on ever selling my GLHS; where else could I find an automobile that has comparable speed and acceleration with the same respectible fuel consumption ability.

- GLHS #231 - Car has been parked since son wrecked and broke the front shock tower welds loose. This little car would haul the mail and i know for a fact it would do all it had on the speedometer and it seemed to want more. I am considering parting out or putting drive line in wife's 89 sundance RS (already a 2.5 turbo car) offers considered. car located in central North Carolina. USA.

- GLHS #276 - I bought this car totally restored beyond factory specs. The car has won it's class twice at the World of wheels car show. Once in Minnesota and Once in Pittsburgh. The car now resides in Pittsburgh in a heated garage inside an air filtered bubble. The car is unbelievable in both looks and performance. I had to have it.

|
- GLHS #281 - I purchased this car on September 14th of 2002 from the second owner, Jim Butler of Kansas City, MO. He had owned the car since 1987. It is in great original shape, with a transmission custom built by Cliff Ramsdell in 2000.
Since purchase, I have installed a K&N drop-in air filter, Magnecore plug wires, NGK V-Power spark plugs, and a set of Kumho Ecsta Supra tires (Z Rated).
This car truly "Rocks", and unlike the '67 Shelby that I used to own (GT350), I DO NOT plan to get rid of this one. It's a keeper!

- GLHS #284 - 88,000 unmolested miles. First owner owned car until 2001 when Brett Lindsey took over proud ownership. He owned until 3/22/02 when I took over. After putting 200 miles on car the clutch blew up. Luckily it happened in Dave Petersons neighborhood, thanks again. The car was repainted profesionally in the summer of 2003 with sikkens paint. The driver seat was shot as was the rear upper seat when bought. Thanks to Greg K. Cooper the interior part of the car is mint. Also I must give thanks to Dean Hamer (super60 horizon) and Joe Fishburn (86glhs212) for there mechanical expertise. The original Centurion 1's have been redone as of 6-04 and a mint original 89 CSX-VNT Shelby valve cover was installed. Next on the list is getting the front Koni's rebuilt and getting the door jams and engine bay area painted. Won first place at SDAC14!

- GLHS #311 - I never received any serious offers, lots of inquiries, but I was not going to just give the car away. So, at this time, 02/08/2006, a brand new motor is going in the car. All that is left is the front accessories, radiator, intercooler, halfshafts, and odds and ends to finish up. I should have the paint done before to much longer. Computer, coil springs, camshaft, exhaust have all been upgraded. I'm going to enjoy the car for awhile, but it is FOR SALE <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.
Contact info is txhrdcoroffrd@yahoo.com or 254-733-3886. Serious inquiries only...I will not give this car away, it is a rust free car, and if you think it is going to be to high on price, your probably not that serious about buying it.

- GLHS #391 - Original owner. Purchased car from Swift Auto World (North) in Sacramento CA. Mods included Autometer boost gauge, Shelby Stage II computer, MP 6-point roll cage, home-applied window film (came out nicely), LRE manual boost controller (might have been a prototype), Yokohama 008 on OEM wheels.
Car was never that quick but it was consistent. Put about 100 drag strip passes on the drivetrain. Stock clutch held up VERY well, but broke 3rd to 4th gear shift fork (common).
After ten years of ownership, the car had multiple electrical problems like battery and alternator failures, air conditioning woes, etc. Shift linkage came loose from transaxle. Car was towed away by county for non-registration and I paid the one-day storage and towing fee ($200), but decided not to go through the hassle of trying to get a temp registration and insurance just to get the car out of the salvage yard (I had to get it smogged to get a registration but the car wasn't driveable). I signed over the pink to the salvage yard. Goodbye, 391 - you deserved a better fate .

- GLHS #424 - Purchased 12-16-02. Interior and exterior are in really nice condition, interior looks near new! Engine needs tuning, rough idle and oil leak. No decals are on the car but a full set has already been purchased and are on the way. I plan to play around and enjoy the car for a while, since it is in such nice condition already. I'll most likely restore it in a few years. Would like information on reputable tuners in the So.Cal. area for tune-up and repair.
4/23/03 - Update: Engine is running awesome now, just like Carroll intended. Oil leak was actually coming from the airbox. Turns out that the blow-by was so bad, due to excessive leakdown, that oil was passing trough the PCV into the airbox and leaking onto the ground. Long story short, Rebuilt the engine and stopped the excessive blow-by. After the rebuild, had the engine tuned by Victory Vipers in Southern CA. David Jenkins, the owner and tech, has been around high performance Mopars for quite a few years and gave it proper attention to bring #424's performance up-to-snuff. Original decals have been installed as well as replacing some aftermarket mirrors with the stock round ones. Also purchased a two gauge pod for the pillar and added a boost gauge and oil pressure gauge.
At this point, I am enjoying driving the car once or twice a week and collecting NOS parts for a future restoration. Also collecting printed materials related to the '86 GLHS like magazine articles, factory brochures, etc... If you have any NOS parts or interesting GLHS literature I can be contacted via e-mail.
11/15/03 - Decided to color sand and buff the cars hood and roof to get rid of some oxidation. Came out awesome!!!
12/10/03 - Back in the engine shop again. Developed massive oil leak and lost oil pressure. Turns out the crank was ground wrong and the shop is covering it under warranty.
2/25/04 - Getting #424 out of the engine shop today... Finally!!! Can't wait to start driving it again.
3/22/04 - #424 is headed back to the engine shop AGAIN! Still has no oil pressure :(
9/21/04 - Got #424 back a week or so ago. Oil pressure is good but the car has developed many "bugs" while it's been in the engine shop. Radiator was full of gasket material and had to be flushed to cure over heating issues. Speed sensor was broken during removal or replacement of the engine and had to be replaced. Alternator adjusting bracket was broken in half. Not to mention the paint job was in serious need of attention since it sat in the engine shop so long. Got all the problems fixed and had the entire car color sanded and polished, another new set of decals are on the way. Runs like new now (fingers crossed) and should look like new in a few days when the decals get here.
3/22/05 - Ok, I've worked out all the engine shop bugs and GLHS#424 is back and ready for action. No oil leaks or low oil pressure since the last update. No issues at all!!! Had it dyno tuned again in late November and got a whopping 221hp at the wheels with 16lbs of boost (via a G-Valve, Stage II Comp & 2.5" Exhaust). Needless to say it Goes-Like-Hell!!
Also had the original paint color sanded/polished and installed a new set of decals(again). The car looks absolutely incredible!!! I was driving it about once or twice a week and enjoying every minute, but with all the recent rain in California, it's been in the garage for the last month or so. As soon as we get a break in the rain I'll have #424 out again.

- GLHS #434 - Had it since new, the "millenium falcon" was my daily driver for 11 years and about 140,000 miles. Bought her at Lancaster Dodge, Lancaster, PA.
Awaiting restoration (on blocks) right now but she starts and I'm sure she'd go like hell some more.

You can not find a cleaner GLHS without a time machine. It only gets out for a car show or a Sunday drive. It is now for sale at "BEST SERIOUS OFFER" 309-274-6312

- GLHS #472 - 110,000 miles as of 3/01.
Update: 7/13/01--Car is in the process of being sold. It was offered on eBay at $4500 twice but received no bids. It was sold for $4000 to a gentleman from Chicago. He expects to pick it up in late July. I will leave it to him if he wishes to continue the registration here under a new name. He owns another GLHS in like new condition and was looking for a daily driver. Mine will be driven back from California to Illinois. It was a great car, I hope it continues to serve the next owner well.

Disassembled stock condition at the moment - everything there except dash plaque. Rust in LF frame rail and floor (surprise!) that will be replaced soon, and entire car rebuilt, most likely 2.5 t2 / A568 with some "goodies" and the stock 2.2 drivetrain put on a shelf.

- GLHS #022 - In pretty decent shape -- no rust, a little clear coat problem that will be resolved upon a paint job. The holdup has been a bad HEP module (I hope), which caused periodic dying. The guys at turbododge.com have been GREAT!
03-06-04 update: The HEP replacement seems to have worked! (Now, I just have to get him smogged...) Thanks again to all the guys at turbododge.com!
04-09-05 update: The Beast is (again) a daily driver -- he's got a "hesitation" when running at ~2,500 RPM. Hopefuly, just a vac line problem. (Truly a DODGE -- "Drips Oil, Drips Grease EVERYWHERE", though...)

- GLHS #116 - AFAIK only GLHS in the UK. Lock unseized! But interior lock/unlock knob twisted off :-/. Did a wash and wax to blow off the accumulated moss and grime. Looks better than I thought it would but rust eating into both doors and creeping under the paint on one rear quarter panel. Currently pestering Forward Motion about engine. Anyone have any sanely priced, won't-take-forever options for shipping 245lbs of engine to the UK?
Update!
30-4-03
Well, much has happened. The money for the engine got commandered for a family trip. Got a LeBaron GTS 1988 auto with a dead headgasket. Took its shortblock, got the Shelby running. Many things were seized or recalcitrant as I worked on getting it going. Front brakes seized but that just brought forward the swap to the LeBaron's K&H front brakes that I'd always intended. A rear wheel cylinder wasn't moving but a little persuation with some large grippers saw to that. And so on. Running well now except the seals seem gone on the turbo. Pretty smoky on cold startup but no smoke once warmed up. One other grateful donation from the LeBaron was the Blow Off Valve or Dump Valve (depending on which side of the Atlantic you are) from the LeBaron. I stuck it in the lower hose and it does help with quick shifts (and sound neat). However, I have the impression it is not venting enough. I still seem to lose a fair amount of boost during a shift (if less than before).
I'll try to stay slightly more up to date now. Not much more likely to happen until I get some work and, hence, funds.

- GLHS #122 - Bought car new, May 8,1987 @ Timberline Dodge/Shelby Portland, oregon. I traded an '85 Shelby Charger in on this car. I kept the loovers from the '85 and installed them on the GLH-S. I moved the front license plate over under the right park light. I added an Autometer 2 5/8 boost gauge to the windshield between the "A pillar" and the Speedometer pod. We have keept the rest of the car stock. Not everything on the car is origonal or origonal equipment but some are stock replacement pieces for wear items. It is not a 100 point show car. Currently has 87,000 miles on the clock. Plan to address clear coat issue soon.Car has lived in Corbett, Oregon all its life!

- GLHS #127 - Hey all,
Car was purchased in Syracuse dec07/02 and imported it to my Ottawa Ontario home. As far as I know, it's one of only 3 currently in Canada.
Engine is from '87 GLHS #151 and the trans is a A413 automatic. Because of this 'non-numbers matching' condition, the car will be restored with driving and enjoyment in mind.

- GLHS #156 - I'm posting this for a close friend who just purchased the car from a private owner in Fort Wayne, Indiana on 7/20/02. We responded to an add from a motivated seller(his wife wanted him to get rid of the car before he put more money in it)as he had just spent $1500.00 on various mechanical repairs and then the seal in the turbo blew big time! Unfortunately, he had completely brain-dead people attempting to fix the car, sold him a bill of goods and trashed the engine in the process! It's a survivor vehicle with no obious engine modifications and everything still intact that makes it a GLHS(air-box, hoses, intake, steering wheel, dash plaque, Centurions, etc.) However, it's been rode hard/put away wet for several years now. The engine requires a total rebuild and the body/paint/decals restored. Fortunately, the body overall is still in good shape with no significant rust, but has collision damage to the drivers side that was poorly repaired and oversprayed. Showing 94,000 miles.

- GLHS #181 - This car was on ebay. Found out that it was only 3 miles from me sitting in a garage since 92. Car has only 87k original miles, but is missing the Momo and Koni's. Runs strong with exception of the rod linkage for the tranny. I had a 68 Camaro rotting in my back yard that I lost interest in and offered a trade to the previous/original owner. He was young when it was new so it did get some abuse. Just need to get the mouse smell out of it. #609 will get all my attention first.

- GLHS #241 - 100% factory with no mods. I have never run it at the track, but I have owned it since new and never heard of the 175h.p. and 175 ft.lbs. torque numbers. Having personally talked with the Great Carroll Shelby in 89' he said because it was not a production car power figures were never released because of California and federal emissions were so strict during that era. He said also no figures were released to keep his rivals such as Mustangs,Corvettes,BMW,and the great Buick Grand National from knowing those stats. I race 1/4 mile tracks across the state and my Trans Am runs consistent 12.00s @ 124.00m.p.h and I've raced my GLHS and was neck and neck with my T/A's supercharged TPI 350 without using spray. I see no way some of the stats displayed are 14s&15s!!! I can only see a bad driver that doesn't know how to apply the power without spinning tires through the first three gears!!! I 've raced so many cars on the street and never lost a race!!! I've beaten a Corvette ZR1, a few Grand Nationals GNX's and to many Camaros,T/As, and Big Block Muscle caars and every one pulls me over after the race to find out what kind of V-8 I mashed in the little car. Needless to say how totally PISSED the were to find a 4 cyl. in the hole!!!! How great a feeling. I can only say that there were different regulations and computer programs SHELBY AUTOS INC. were required to install on California destined GLHS's. Thank God I live in Texas!!! O.K. so you want to know what the actual figures were in 87' on non Cali emissions GLHS's , try 245h.p and 220 ft. lbs. per Carrol Shelby himself. Now in 2004 they make a SRT-4 putting out 240h.p., I've driven 3 and not one gives the feel of my GLHS. GO FIGURE!!!! Was the rating he told me still underrated???????????????????????My stock GLHS will still spank a SRT-4 unless it's a stage 3 with 300h.p. and I still think I could take em'!!!!!! Goes Like Hell Shelby!

Needs some paint work. The sun is tough on that black paint! Looking for a source for NOS parts, especially exterior trim. Waited to long to buy it, and now I can't find it! I'm sure I'm not alone. Any help would be appreciated. Like to restore and get back on the road soon.

- GLHS #288 - Bought this new Aug 26, 1987 from All Star Dodge outside
of Baltimore MD (Now Musselman). It has about 165k miles
on it, doing about 24k/year the first 4 years. Retired it
to play status in Feb 95. It's been to SDAC-1, 2, 3, 4, 5,
and 8. It runs 14.1 quarters at 102.x. The motor is a basic
Forward Motion rebuild putting 217 HP to the ground. It could
use some fresh paint. Cat only, no muffler, sounds SWEET.

- GLHS #324 - Bought this 09/01, someone obviously neglected this car. had shelby rims, beat interior, blown turbo, vacuum lines ??? it had very few, what was left were dry rotted to nothing. I put alot of work into it so far, new turbo from fwd motion, all new vac lines, new complete interior, still looking for centaurions to get it back to original. Everything is in working great now, after a year of work.

- GLHS #325 - I bought this one from my brother Rob, who is the original owner. This car came from Bayside Dodge in Bayside, NY.
The car was the first one delivered. Other cars shipped were #326, 327 & 328. I have every last bit of info on the car, including window sticker,Cert. of Origin of Vehicle (yes it is registered as a Shelby), the original owners questionaire, and the yellow plastic stock tag & keys. The car is under full restoration at this time. It was totally disassembled & stripped of all paint. Any panels that could not be hand hammered out were replaced with new. It has been re-painted inside and out. I'm now in the process of rebuilding it & documenting each step.

All original parts are being kept for future restoration.

- GLHS #404 - I just recently purchased #404, it was owned by an older
gentlemen who was a Mopar collector. It was in storage for
twelve years and I had to replace the fuel tank and upgrade
to a Walbro pump from Forward Motion. I have since purchased an 86 Shelby Charger to use as a daily driver to
keep the miles down on #404 (currently just over 16K,
documented). I will try to get pictures etc. in the future.
The car was in a fender bender when new and the original
wheels are missing, anyone with a nice set of Centurions
for sale drop a line.

It is good shape and the motor compartment is very very clean.

- GLHS #464 - We're the 3rd owner of the vehicle - it was recovered from a friend who had purchased it for an investment but never kept up on the maintenance, etc. It's been stored, unstarted with no fuel and battery for the past 8 years in a heated garage. Problem is the other side of the garage bay is being used for a woodshop. The car has affectionately been dubbed "The Dustbunny" by my 5 year old daughter was has laid claim to it for when she has a license. NOT! It is completely stock with on 66,083 miles on it. After I get her up to speed, I'm redoing the hood with a Jolly Roger. Sorry to all of the purists.

- GLHS #591 - Original owner. Bought new in February 1987. 18000 miles. All stock. Excellent/Very good condition. Always garaged. Hasn't seen rain in sixteen years. Interior near mint (Still smells new)! This car is a former, original, stable-mate of '87 Charger GLHS 119, and '86 Omni GLHSs 037 and 499. Used to run as a pack on US-1, preying on unsuspecting IROCs, 944s, and GTs! Serious collector with serious offer AND a good home MIGHT pry it out of me, but I'm still pretty fond of the thing!

- GLHS #609 - Purchased from Larry Charney as this....>MP turbo 2 computer. He bought this car for his son who just turned 16....but after a drive there is no way he is getting this car! Larry intended to restore it and add it to his mopar collection. Solid body...112K miles, rebuilt motor and trans, cheap repaint and needs decals. Looks like all the "shelby" parts are still there, minus Koni's. Car has since added 2k in miles and now has mysterious charging problem to find. Alt, and battery both good. Car bucks and runs rough as voltage drops.

- GLHS #625 - Picked this up 4th hand for $1000 a few years back and garaged it ever since. Koni's and Centurions were stripped by 2nd owner but other than that pretty much stock. I'm in the process of buildin this car up with the help of "a few good men" at Forward Motion to Stage 3 Specs ... Currently runnin a Hi-Perf computer, Centerforce clutch, underdrive pulley, NGK plugs, Magnecor wires, MSD Ignition, Blaster Coil, Indy Intercooler, and smooth intake hosing w\K&N (plus a slight advance in timing - 15deg TDC - and small bleed on the wastegate - +2psi for a total of 15psi). I hate to say this for all of you that are now unhappy pet owners, but some of these were rockets and some were dogs. I lucked out and got mine from NASA cause this thing FLIES with just the bolt-on base goodies?? Haven't seen a mustang anywhere but the rearview since I got it runnin! =)

- GLHS #689 - Found in Field in early 2004. No rot. No engine. I purchased the car 3 months later along with everything specific to the car except for the Centurians. There is an interesting story following the Centurians - but for shortness, they're with 87 GLHS 426. For now, the car will recieve a common block and some other things but be completely reversible. The original engine/trans will be stored. The car is currently located in Aurora, Ohio.

- GLHS #799 - I have been waiting for a numbered 87 for some time now (since I got my 83). I am the third owner of the car. I purchased this car from David Haynes of Denver, CO. He purchased it from, Cameron Haag. It has 87,000 original miles, the interior is VERY clean, but needs minor body work and paint. Runs very good. I was very impressed with the documentation that came with it. I have stacks of receipts from routine maintenance to major work. This is great! It's a true history of the cars life.
I plan to restore completely original with the exception of a few performance mods. Exhaust, air induction, computer. That's about it. I don't want to do much more than that.

- GLHS #803 - I bought my 87 GLHS in 1989 in San Antonio, Tx. for $6900.00. It had 41,590 miles on it...now 175,000. It never ran the way it was supposed to...the boost would not shut off and the engine would die at 18 lbs.
I don't drive it much anymore. There are not a lot of paved
roads in Northern Arizona (Flagstaff) so I use my Blazer a lot.
Only modifications is a K&N filter and Stage II computer.
I purchased a Mopar Stage II computer for it and had it modified by Neil Emiro who used to be in Lubbock, Tx but now in New Mexico. It ran so bad I couldn't use it. It is for sale (the computer).
I owned 87 GLHS #272 for 4 years but sold it last year to Daryl Dinkel, Rifle, Co. 81650 (dctkdink@cs.com)

- GLHS #814 - Bought in 11/02 from sister of the original owner. Car has 132K miles. Got every reciept, piece of paperwork and manual and book ever associated with car along with the glass top bag and Koni adjuster knob. Car was originally purchased in Utah and the owner moved to Wyoming. Sold it to his sister in Atlanta in 1996. She parked it under a tree and a branch fell and broke the rear hatch glass out and she parked it in her mothers garage 5 years ago. Her mom said to get rid of it so she put in in the Auto Trader and someone on the Shelby Dodge mailing list let me know it was for sale for $750 obo. By the time I got there with the cash she had had 20+ calls and the price was up to $1200. which is what I paid her for it. I have installed a rear glass out of a stock Shelby Charger and need to have the fuel tank cleaned out and boiled, the Koni's rebuilt, the timing belt and all hoses and belts changed. The clear coat on the original paint is peeling so it will have to be painted. I originaly was going to purchase this car to use the drivetrain in my Rampage (how nice could I expect it to be for $750.obo) but when I saw how original and nice it was I decided it would be a crime to not restore it to it's original glory which is what I plan to do. I have had 3 different Shelby Lancers (#333, 410, and 533) but they don't compare to how quick these cars are.

- GLHS #837 - I had a 85 Shelby Charger which I got rid of in 89. Swore I would have another someday. Thanks to my wife that someday came this summer. I could not afford one in good condidtion, got lucky and spotted this one for listed for $1500. Talked to the owner, said he had bought it as a parts car for his plain jane Daytona. PO had told that the engine was replaced 18 to 2 thousands miles ago. When he found out it was just a head gasket, wisely decided he could not break up a numbered car. The deal was made for $800. She would only make 5-7 lbs of boost when I got her home. After some tinkering, on a local trip with my wife and kids, without even trying the boost soared to 14 lbs. WOW!!!!! Web site soon detailing her (slow) restoration. She is and will always be a driver. As I told my co-workers, until they install a roller coaster between my house and the hangar I work at, this has to be the most fun way to get to work:)

- GLHS #876 - I purchased 876 in october of 95' for $2.8k with 104kmi, it currently has 115k. I have every intension to restore when time & $ is better. She (i say she because my wife claims i maried the car before i married her) currently rests covered in my back yard with a broken crank, but dont worry its only a tipical T2 swapped from a 90' Shelby Daytona.I still hold the origin 2.2 in storage waiting to be sent to the ma.shop.The car apperently has some minor front end dam.I am currently looking for front air dam, please help save a shelby.

- GLHS #899 - I am the original owner. I purchased the car in May of 87' from Celebrity dodge of San Jose. It is all original with 12,00 original miles. No modds. of any kind. it has been parked for14-15 years and is in immaculate condition. I am still in the San Jose area and I am considering selling for the right price. I can say that you won't be able to find one in better condition.

- GLHS #900 - This car is very quick and handles like a go-cart! I bought my GLH-S April 24,1999 from the original owner who is a San Jose/Sunnyvale resident. It doesn't spend long periods of time sitting unused in the garage to provide a home for dust! The joy IS in driving, and I love to pilot this car! The power is fantastic, the rarity is unparalleled, the handling is comparable to sports cars of today, and I love its looks! This car suits me well and I enjoy owning it tremendously. I may soon be in a position to sell this car. I'd rather not and won't if I can afford to keep it. E-mail me with interest and it won't be cheap. **See pics**

- GLHS #911 - Currently restoring. Adding a few goodies to the engine bay, (When is it fast enough??... NEVER!!) Larger turbo, manual boost control, MP computer, port matched exhaust manifold, balanced crank, rod, pistons. Interior is in fine condition. Looking to find someone to restitch the CS logos on front seats as they are showing their age. Also looking for someone to rewrap the steering wheel. Will go for new paint in July time frame and adding new decal kit from Positive Impressions. Have been contemplating a little extra addition to the paint, possibly ghost flames or ghost stripes down the middle. Anybody can add their 2 cents about paint if they wish.
